So you work with a bunch of illegal Hispanics? If they are legal or citizens of this country what would they have to fear? Trump has never said he'd deport them in fact he can't lawfully do that.

In Miami, some oppose, but most support because they think its better if they stay there and fight for their freedom, and because so many have died trying to cross after being encouraged by the WFDF policy.

Let's see if Barack drops the other shoe on the Cubans that are here and revokes their political asylum and lumps them in with all the other illegals.

He would but he knows with Trump in office his EO are going to be rescinded to protect them all.

That is not the question. The question is "Did President Obama revoke the "wet-foot dry-foot" policy because alot of Cuban-Americans vote Republican? I asked whether or not that was the case or if that was being said of out spite. I didn't ask if Cuban-Americans vote Republican.

For some time now there has been a feeling both within federal government and the Cuban-American population that the "Wet-Foot/Dry-Foot" policy was getting out of hand. For whatever the intentions of the policy when began it clearly within the last few years or even decade (if not before) was becoming a back door immigration program for Cubans. Final straw probably came last year when 8k Cubans moved en masse to reach the USA via Latin America. That movement was prompted in large part by Cubans fearing Obama's new "openness" policies with Cuba would put an end to WFDF sooner rather than later.

Among many Cubans already in the USA there was feeling the "wrong" sorts were abusing the policy and arriving. Unlike the "aristocratic", wealthy, business owners, educated, professional and so forth Cubans that fled previously, now you were getting anyone from hairdressers to anyone else with money to pay a smuggler.

Then there is the blatant "immigration to order" where Cubans already in the USA paid to have family members "smuggled" to the USA knowing once they arrived on American soil WFDF would apply. You have persons or families arriving on Florida shores remarkably well dressed, fed and hydrated after supposedly spending "days" crossing the waters between Cuba and USA. Even more interesting they have cell phones and or know exactly what relative to call upon arrival...

In any even it is clear the policy needed to go as the entire Cuban Embargo has been a failure. Fidel Castro died a happy man in his own bed likely laughing at the USA as he did for much of his life. Cleary the embargo and whatever else didn't work.

Obama has been charting a new course with Cuba for much of his lame duck years. Fidel Castro passing away recently also likely factored into this decision. I mean now that the object of stated policy has been removed (by God), what is the reasons to keep it in place?

I live in Florida there is a older generation of Cubans that vote Republican but as a whole they might not vote DNC/RNC 75/25 like the rest of Hispanics but still probably 65/45.

Tell your Cuban friends to go to Cuba and fix it if they don't like our policies.

It is known that there is a newer policy towards Cuba these days. Many have said it is high time that things change. I was mainly confronting someone who claimed that President Obama did that because Cuban-Americans vote Republican. I haven't seen any of the proof I've asked for. I can only assume said person said that out of spite.

It appears that way, yes!

Anyone who is pro WFDF is pro illegal immigration. Pure and simple.
