Now, before I continue, let me say, I'm not generalizing, nor do I mean that there are not decent adults in the world and everyone had bad parents...they didn't....and most people are good people....
So, here goes...
I agree with you up to the spanking part. I don't think that you need to hit your kid. There are other, much more intelligent ways, to discipline a kid that work far better than spanking. The absolute guilt that my dad laid on me when I was about 13 or 14, when I did not hold up my end of the deal, hurt FAR worse than any spanking I got as a kid. You have to know your kid...and that means you actually have to spend time with your kid, to know how to find ways to discipline without resorting to hitting. Spanking is hitting. I don't consider it "abuse" like others do, because there is a huge difference between child abuse and spanking, but it is still hitting your child.
The rest of it is spot on. Too many parents don't even know their kids. They think that they do, but they don't.
Considering the donuts are considerably smaller in size than mom and pop doughnut shops make their doughnuts, they are over priced for what you get.
I mean, I got breakfast for 2 people along with 4 leftover doughnuts and 2 cups of coffee for like $9, didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. Pretty sure I couldn't get 2 breakfasts from McDonalds for that. How cheap exactly do you expect food to be?

All I said is you can go to a Mom and Pop doughnut shop and get better tasting larger doughnuts for less money. I don't expect breakfast at McDonald's to be a comparison to doughnuts. Good for you, you spend $9 on breakfast. That has nothing to do with anything.

You said it was a rip off, feeding 2 people a meal with drinks for $9 is not a rip off in my books, which is why it was relevant. What mom and pop doughnut place is selling doughnuts for 50 cents a pop?
Don't care, it is their choice to fire or not and it is your choice to do business with them or not.
End of story, end of care.
