I can imagine the Russians feeling somewhat betrayed after putting in all the effort to get Trump elected, and then seeing his cabinet member to say Russia is a threat to US, and even Trump doing the 180 to suddenly admit Russians were behind it. In the other hand they might understand they'll say anything at the hearings to get the confirmation.

Hopefully Flynn will be gone by the weekend.

Scandal seems tame by comparison.

Highly unlikely.

From your own source.

Several officials emphasized that while sanctions were discussed, they did not see evidence that Flynn had an intent to convey an explicit promise to take action after the inauguration.

It still isn't clear that there were ever any discussion of sanctions.

Also from your source.

U.S. officials said that seeking to build such a case against Flynn would be daunting. The law against U.S. citizens interfering in foreign diplomacy, known as the Logan Act, stems from a 1799 statute that has never been prosecuted. As a result, there is no case history to help guide authorities on when to proceed or how to secure a conviction.

Officials also cited political sensitivities. Prominent Americans in and out of government are so frequently in communication with foreign officials that singling out one individual — particularly one poised for a top White House job — would invite charges of political persecution.

Former U.S. officials also said aggressive enforcement would probably discourage appropriate contact. Michael McFaul, who served as U.S. ambassador to Russia during the Obama administration, said that he was in Moscow meeting with officials in the weeks leading up to Obama’s 2008 election win.

If I were you dems, I wouldn't get my hopes up for any wrong doing, or prosecution.

Default Flynn backpedals on talks with Russia

So it appears Lying Flynn not only talked with Russian officials about the sanctions during the transition, he apparently lied about it: US official: Flynn talked sanctions with Russian envoy before inauguration.

Why is it that the only person Trump holds his powder for is Putin? Watch this Lying Flynn thread as it begins to unravel. There's more than smoke here, friends.

These people have no conscience. They will look you in the eye and swear they are telling the truth, when in fact they are lying....not to mention they are sneaky.
