The intensity of the hatred from the left for elect president Donald Trump is equaled only by the reaction of the GOP to the election of Barrack Obama.
Every 4 or 8 years, one side has a tantrum. It's the lefts turn now.

Obama had a reasonable popularity level after being elected. Trump has the worst in history, is screaming about his mandate, all the while ignoring that his electoral win % places him in the bottom 1/4th historically, and his loss in the popular is historic.
The man is bragging about how unethical he could be if he wanted to, attacking the press, picking press favorites who toe his line, and generally acting like a child on twitter.
While Obama was disliked in the extreme by groups that are highly over represented on this board, it was nothing like this.
The Democratic party topic though...lol. yeah no. More people voted for Clinton then Trump. Thats not exactly a recipe for a disappearing party.
And Clinton was a horrible candidate. And STILL won more votes.
The democrats are saying Elizabeth Warren will get 350 electoral votes against Donald Trump.
They said the same about Clinton winning in a landslide but that didn't happen.

Obama ran his campaign based on gays, minorities, poor people and won in 2008 and 2012. A lot of middle class and working class people voted for Trump because of leadership in the White House has failed them. Even small business owners related with Romney in 2012 because of "You didn't build that".
The Democrats are all evil liars and crooks. Too bad we all have to read their published emails on the web to know the truth. If everyone got out of the Matrix and understood the ugly truth about the Democratic party, the Democratic party will cease to exist. They can forget about getting their butts saved in 2020, 2024, etc... It will never happen.
They will always exist as there will always be people who will desire to get something for nothing, who believe others should pay for their poor fortune or mishaps, and those who think people are too stupid to think for themselves and are better underfoot than out of hand.
If not. what alternative(s) would you suggest to keep the Republican Party in check if the democrate party dies?
A sensible alternative has been available for nearly fifty years; it's called libertarianism, which BTW, in its formative years struggled within the conservative movement, against the Religious Right and other absolutists. It has nothing to offer to them, nor to the parasitic druggie underclass who are the Democrats' "captive embarrassment", (and the majority of them are white, BTW).

Whether "underfoot" (and paid off with penny-candy welfare) or "six feet under" due to sinking to violence doesn't matter either way.
Both parties could stand to change. Republicans rejected status quo. It would be nice if dems could also reject what has happened to their party that resulted in failure. If Trump doesn't succeed, the former blue voters who voted for him would probably welcome a new dem party that includes them.
I wish both parties would fade away and we get new ones. Everyone is too into being all about what their party says to the point of extreme partisanship, instead of focusing on true needs of the country.
