I think it would suit his coming presidency and hey, that's something people won't forget, anyway...

A fine post that sadly goes over the heads of 98% of those reading the C-D political forums.
If you're attempting to earn Rep points, try referencing jug band music.

Have no clue what Ligeti's Requiem is so I went searching. I listened to the requiem, but I have to admit I don't get the reference. All I learned was that Ligeti was an avant garde composer that used polymodal structures. Here's the description from wikipedia.com: "His Requiem (1963–65) is a work for soprano and mezzo-soprano soloists, twenty-part chorus (four each of soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, tenor, and bass), and orchestra. Though, at about half an hour, it is the longest piece he had composed up to that point, Ligeti sets only about half of the Requiem's traditional text: the Introitus, the Kyrie (a completely chromatic quasi-fugue, where the parts are a montage of melismatic and skipping micropolyphony), and the Dies irae—dividing the latter sequence into two parts, De die iudicii (Day of Judgement) and Lacrimosa (Weeping)."

Clue us in please.

Just more of the same hoping he fails BS. Considering the batting average of the naysayers has been .000! I'll stick with the winner and hope he does great things. For the country to succeed he needs to succeed, anyone wishing him to fail wants the country to fail.

It's not exactly an iconic tune. Back then everyone was listening to the Beatles, Beach Boys, Sonny and Cher, and The Doors. Requiem was more like tripping music.

I would prefer the William Tell Overture.

But, it would have to be a B-list orchestra. The A-list ones wouldn't do it.
