You don't have the slightest idea what devastation would befall everyone, if he was able to operate with the impunity you claim he has. The Republicans may currently hold majorities in congress, but he is not a republican and he has many enemies and opponents within that body, especially in the Senate. The majority of votes is so slim there, that if just two of them went against a measure he wanted passed, it would fail. Some of these opponents have not been as vocal about it as McCain and Graham, but they will arise when they are needed to stop his destruction.
