I have met very few Brits who don't favor the Monarchy.

Keep it.

Abolition is only a long dark revolutionary path to an eventual reconstitution of a monarchy, this time under different (possibly foreign) rule.

I'd vote to keep the monarchy, if only because of the boost to the economy monarchy-related tourism provides for the UK. They apparently more than "earn" their share of the tax dollars they receive.

Well, we threw the monarchy out of our country 200+ years ago. I think that about sums up my answer.

The United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Spain all have monarchies. So do Monaco and, I believe, Liechtenstein. Not sure about Belgium.

France, Germany, Russia, Italy, and Austria-Hungary all lost their monarchies -- and mostly with very bad results.

The Brits should keep their monarchy and their traditions. They give Britain much of its charm.

Good point. Some monarchies were bad though, since they were ruled either by an authoritarian Monarch or one with full power. (E.g. Russia)

In all the monarchies you named the Monarch wields no real power - maybe just de jure, but not de facto. It is a essential part of the British Tradition and culture. We should keep it, yeah.

My Mother was British, she served in the WAF during the war and endured the Blitz. Her father flew for the RAF and actually owned a Fish -n- Chips shop, so they were quintessentially British and I will speak for them. I support the tradition of the Monarchy and I supported Brexit. I believe that Great Britain has a unique place in world history which should be preserved. God save the Queen.
