No. He used to be. Now he's a registered Independent with obvious Republican leanings. An Iraq War/Bush supporter. That's as hard core as it gets, since almost no one supported the Iraq War after we learned we were lied to.
I'm from the south. The south was democratic before the civil rights movement. Because of strong traditions, many stayed registered Democratic Party, and many registered Democratic. But they really were not Democratic and didn't vote that way. It's a southern thing. I have one in my family...as far right as it gets, and registered as a Dem.
