Michele put up with a lot of cheap insults and crap during the past 8 years, for no reason. I thank her for all she has endured .
Michele has been fine.
But people really should not care about first ladies. There's no need for a list. They don't make policy or do much of anything other than host dinners --- as one of the other posts mentioned.

History will smile on the period of Michelle Obama as first lady.

First Ladies ranked by Integrity, Accomplishments and Public Image:
1 Eleanor Roosevelt
2 Abigail Adams
3 Jaqueline Kennedy
4 Dolly Madison
5 Michelle Obama

Survey: The best of the first ladies – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs
Who did they survey, most people today can't even recognize a picture of Joe Biden from Mitt romney or who we fought during the American revolution and WW2.

Most have no idea who eleanor roosevelt is and think dolly madison is a brand of ice cream, let alone knowledge about reputation and integrity. Abigail adams was a character from the Adam's family tv series, right?.

what criteria would be used to judge abigail adam's integrity vs MO's integrity?????
certainly that would require a knowledge of detailed historical minutia.

Have to call creative survey results on this one.

MO was pretty much invisible except for a few memorable speeches which defined her reputation as a true 20 year parishoner of rev wright. Anything positive she may have done was under a pall of controversial statements.

Maybe obama wasn't paying attention, but it is clear MO have the right rev her full attention.

Any survey that CNN puts out is going to be suspect. They wouldn't even have done the survey without first having decided Ms. Obama would make the list. I think she was too much of a racist to warrant the accolades.

It isn't Alex Jones or Breitbart, that's true.

Do you think that people will be reading Michelle's letters to Barack over 200 years from now?

In what way? Serious question. Right now, she seems less than enthusiastic about the role, which is fine as far as I'm concerned. She doesn't have to step into the limelight if she doesn't wish to do so. But I'm curious about what you think she's going to do to make the role of FLOTUS "great again." What does that mean?
