One can rest assured this wouldn't have happened had Hillary been elected. And it's counters the layoffs that were recently announced due to Obama's horrid war on American jobsd.

(Meanwhile his detractors are quoting race hucksters and crying about Russians. If you are looking for work after living through the horrid Obama economy, who are you listening to?)
Actions speak louder than words. I rather have a president like Trump who gets things done through actions instead a president who created a fake reality with flowery PC speech like Obama.

OP did not read his article.

Guess Obama is the one who gets the credit and cannot stop winning.

"...General Motors today announced that it will invest an additional $1 billion in U.S. manufacturing operations. These investments follow $2.9 billion announced in 2016 and more than $21 billion GM has invested in its U.S. operations since 2009.

GM’s announcement is part of the company’s increased focus on overall efficiency over the last four years. With a strategy to streamline and simplify its operations and grow its business, GM has created 25,000 jobs in the U.S. − approximately 19,000 engineering, IT and professional jobs and 6,000 hourly manufacturing jobs – and added nearly $3 billion in annual wages and benefits to the U.S. economy over that period. At the same time, GM reduced more than 15,000 positions outside the U.S., bringing most of those jobs to America. During that period, the company moved from 90 percent of its IT work being outsourced to an insourced U.S.-based model..."
But that would make it a victory for Obama, not Trump. The way OP words the story makes better clickbait Trump cannot take credit for things he hasn't done, as he is NOT president yet.

Simple, these companies know that Trump will tax them to oblivion if they keep sending jobs overseas so they are taking the appropriate action now rather than later.

Just WHAT part of " long-held plans to invest about $1 billion in its U.S. factories" and "In an interview Monday, GM general counsel Craig Glidden declined to confirm specifics of the announcement but said any investment the company might disclose has been long planned and isn't a response to pressure from Mr. Trump" has anything to do with Trump?

I see the Trumpettes are becoming as adept at patting Lil' Donny Thin Skin on the back for doing nothing as he is himself.

BTW, since there's an apparent attempt at crediting anything that's happened since the election to Trump, Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad Donny for killing the circus!

And the truth:

Quote:
At Walmart, the jobs are incoming from already planned store openings, expansions and e-commerce support. Walmart said the initiatives will add another 24,000 construction jobs. (Fortune)

Wal-Mart said the number of its new jobs would be consistent with previous years. They will be part of a previously announced $6.8 billion capital expenditure plan, which includes construction and remodeling of stores and distribution centers, for the fiscal year starting on Feb. 1. (Yahoo)
Fox reported the exact same story but left the above two statements out that other sites are report (talk about unobjective reporting).

The Trump haters will say it was because of Obama or that these jobs are not livable wages or that the total is actually closer to 5 or some other nonsense.
