I see the Trumpettes are becoming as adept at patting Lil' Donny Thin Skin on the back for doing nothing as he is himself.

BTW, since there's an apparent attempt at crediting anything that's happened since the election to Trump, Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad Donny for killing the circus!
People who trend extreme partisanship often seem to have a need to validate themselves and their perceptions.

Politicians and the for profit media that feeds off them are happy to play the game and manipulate them. They know People believe anything when it seems to validate their perceptions, thus themselves.

Anything contrary to their perceptions is automatically deemed fake news.

So here we are three days before the inauguration. Those who are passionate about Hilary seem convinced the world will end on 1/20. Those passionate about Trump seem convinced he can do no wrong.

And around we go.

Trump's embarrassingly low approval rating at this point in time is evident that even his faithful supporters are a bit jittery. Rather than wait until after he takes office for some thing positive that is concretely attributable to him, they are grabbing for anything that will calm their nerves. They are desperately looking for a sign that this Trump is not the same Trump that they came to know and laugh at on TV.

And, you refuse to believe it.

I'm convinced that Twitler could show up at your house and beat you over the head with a Louisville Slugger and you'd come here to compliment him on his swing.

When I see how easily his followers are duped by his Tweets, and how they deny facts when presented with them under their very noses I really do see how we ended up with this man about to assume the office held by Lincoln, Jefferson, FDR, Kennedy, and the like; each one of whom would shudder in disgust that this man will be president on Friday.

Most of them will likely be part-time. But I guess that is better than none.

Come 2009 the Obama Admin was heavily criticized for not taking action sooner to prevent the closing of some auto plants.

As I understand it the bailout was intended to STABILIZE the US auto industry and those industries/ businesses dependent upon them. It prevented a death spiral that could have been the tipping point where the Great Recession morphed into the Greatest Depression.

It was a curious thing that Romney picked Paul Ryan as his VP when Ryan voted in favor of the bailout.

No one knows the "what if " had the Federal Government allowed the chips to fall.

If ever I have had to wonder about the way democracy works, it has been lately. I think the assumption is that more voters rather than less would be able to distinguish facts from nonsense, be able to connect the dots with regard to cause/effect, vote intelligently..., AKA not be so freaking partisan to the point of bending reality beyond the realm of reason.

Just like it was the Bush economy Obama saved us from Trump is inheriting a great economy because of Obama's wise economic policies.

We have only ourselves to blame I suppose, since we soon come to know who these people are in this forum that perpetuate the same sort of blatant disregard for making sense rather than exhibit any worthy reason or logic. The more offense you point out, the more offensive they get...

Something like playing cards with a known cheater. They don't mind cheating. In fact they like it! So what can you expect if you decide to play cards with them?
