Sam Moore of soul/R&B duo Sam & Dave has announced that he will perform at the “Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration” on January 19 in Washington, D.C.
“I was a participant in the civil rights movement and have seen many positive changes and advancement in my 81 years of living in this wonderful country, but I know we must all join hands and work together with our new President,” the “Soul Man” singer said in a press release. “I honestly believe that if we can accomplish this, the best is yet to come. We all as Americans need to unite behind our new President and give him a chance. He needs everyone’s support to make America greater, stronger and an even better country.”
Because the birther-in-chief is tainted with Russian cooties and various other un-American maladies...and no self-respecting patriotic American would celebrate this unless it is out of some form of dementia or desperation.
He's not a legend... we enjoy being liberal with our word choice. Elvis, the Beatles, Ray Charles, James brown were legends. Sam Moore is not even Sam Cooke in prominence.
