We don't want to make it easy on him.

So as it turns out the public at large does NOT support scrapping ACA, so while trump has a mandate to say build his wall or bring back jobs, he simply does not have the support of the man on the street to scrap ACA...

thus you might hear people say , Trump does not have a mandate to act in whatever way he wants. Now you need to understand , Trump can do whatever he can legally do. But the rest of the party are fully aware that may get knocked out of office, and have that vote thrown in their faces for the rest of their working lives...

If Trump turned around and said ban all guns, i bet many GOP folk would be marching on the white house with their reps bound and gagged. Thus trump does not have a mandate to steal your lovely guns....

So you might hate it, but TRump did NOT win the popular vote, if he had a gram of sense he would have appointed a token dem or three and would put up a neutral judge. If he did that , he might find himself well positioned to get stuff done.

But instead he is playing to his minority base and he appears to have misjudged how strongly many of them support him. He most likely thought that because they held their noses and voted for him that they would support him, the truth is he has maybe a couple of months to pull his head out of his butt or he will find the marginal Republicans in both houses abandoning him in order to ensure they still have seats two four and six years from now.
And which token dem could he get? Most of them are boycotting his presidency.

It's like a roller coaster ride, I'm both scared and excited. Here we go, buckle up.
