Bannon is a tried and true believer in Howe & Strauss's Fourth Turning. I've read their stuff, too, and it's interesting, but I think putting too much stock in it is a dangerous way to make policy decisions.

On the day he bombed the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City in 1995, Timothy McVeigh wore a t-shirt that bore Jefferson’s words with an image of a tree with blood dripping from its branches.


Ole Tim was a big fan of that TJ quote as well.
