The country is in worse shape now than when he got here. I know, he saved us from depression, blah blah blah because of George W Bush's poor decisions. But here's the bottom line. When you borrow the amount of money that he borrowed, you should have a LOT more to show for it. For that reason I give Obama a grade of

D
For his entire presidency.

History will rate him a below average president although not a failure.
A for getting there
D on follow through and promises
A for divisiveness
F on effectiveness, gutting the military, and foreign policy

D sounds about right

He has been feckless and chose to lead from behind. Never a good thing for the most powerful man on the planet.

I'm concerned Trump will move to the other end of the spectrum and speak strongly while swinging a big bat, also not a good thing.

Overall a C+. He was the cool hand at the helm during the financial meltdown and recession. Handled it pretty well. But he was in too much of a hurry to get the healthcare reform done. Should have taken more time and gotten bi-partisan input. And the second term I think he made a mistake getting involved in the Travon Martin and Ferguson cases. Turned out to be divisive and counter-productive. Foreign affairs too early to fully judge. But I think whatever mistakes he made were on the side of caution, which is much preferable to making catastrophic blunders like Bush II's invasion of Iraq.

Im no Obama fan...but Id give him a C-. He created a lot of his own troubles with the ACA. He could have worked with the GOP for a better option. After that they didnt want to work with him and he created the Tea Party which made Congress useless. His presidency caused the biggest losses for the Dems in like 100 yrs. If Obama was any better Trump would not be president.

I give Obama a solid B.

He had to deal with a recalcitrant Congress which made every move very difficult, but he overcame that to accomplish a great deal.

Federal of recognition of same sex marriages, repealed don't ask, don't tell, revived/saved the US Auto industry, ended US Combat Missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, eliminated Osama bin Laden, secured US Commitment to global climate change, negotiated a deal to block a nuclear Iron, passed Wall Street reform, rescued the economy from Hank Paulson's traitorous actions to bail out Goldman Sachs, and mostly, as the deplorables are now finding out isn't so bad as is NO health care act, Passed Health Care Reform.

He didn't get it all done, but steps in this world are small, and steady. There are no magical moves which are going to change things for hundreds of millions, indeed billions, of people around the world.

Let's see what The Donald can claim at the end of his tenure. Not rhetoric, but by attempting to scam, defraud and hoodwink the world into Taking America Backward.
He starts out with an incomplete.

No...now is the time to focus on the birther-in chief, but none of his fans seem to want to do that.
