Why does CA have the highest poverty rate in the nation at 24% if the population is so well-educated?

Per your link, California does worse than many of the other states you usually hate on. You posted participation-adjusted totals.

Why are you changing the subject?

You and others seem to be so blinded by stereotypes that you cant fathom facts when they are presented to you.

Oh and I never said CA is so well educated, only that this image of CA being so far behind the national average is totally false.

The nation as a whole has a 30% college graduation rate, and CA has the highest average SAT score among the 4 largest states.

Yeah but I posted the raw score- it appears to bother you that CA does better than you might have perceived.

How odd.

And yet you continue to ignore the fact California is ranked 42nd in the country for education. So either you think you're right and the stats are wrong or your claims above show a massive educational inequality situation with California, something else which is not good. Either way you look at it, there's a problem with education in the state of California. But by all means, call it partisan, call it whatever you want but it still doesn't change the fact the state is 42nd in the country in education.

California has the lowest participation rate of the four states, which obviously skews the results (per your own link). Can you explain why so few California students participate in taking SATs?

Nope.

Show me the stat where students from all 50 states take the exact same test and CA ranks 42nd-then I'll believe it.

Until then, yawns.

In the meantime, some reading material from the NY Times:

Yeah? And how different are their participation rates?

I thought so.

Looking at the link your article is citing (Quality Counts 2017: State Report Cards Map - Education Week), you somehow specifically mention WY as a state that does well, while ignoring the fact that the rest of the states that scored well are either solidly blue or purple.

MA B 86.5 - Blue
NJ B 85.6 - Blue
VT B 83.8 - Blue
NH B 83.4 - Blue
MD B 82.8 - Blue
CT B 82.7 - Blue
WY B- 80.3 - Red
PA B- 80.2 - Purple
NY B- 79.8 - Blue

I know facts are inconvenient for you and your fuhrer, but they matter to most people in this country.

And yes, Wyoming does have a disproportionate weight in the EC. It's designed to do so, how else would the young United States have ensured the slave holding states with relatively few white males would not be railroaded in the Presidential elections?

Nice try sneaking that bit in there too... LOL
The top 5 all have Republican governors.... So what does that tell us?

Texas is 41, LOL!

Surprised we're THAT high.
