Not a Trump fan but I feel bad for Melania. She didn't sign up for this. She seems like the type to want to keep to herself. And I can't imagine DJ is very attentive to her needs as a wife.
I do think that the "Donald" did sort off set up protections for Melania... But his decisions for personal reasons> catapulted Melania into National Spotlight was a completely different thing. Melania knows full well which side of the bread is buttered..so fulfills whatever her "Master" directs.
Melania is the the OPPOSITE of IVANNA ( who had total self-Control of her brand) and her children and her monitorship truly proves that!! Melania, NOT so much. She's totally reliant on DJT.. doubt he has given her any power or leverage at all!
I watched Tiffany today.. She was all smiles..BUT ( love child from 2nd women pre-marriage) sure doesn't exhibit lifestyle-wise similar attributes that IVANNA's kids did. Many want to bask DJT for their outcomes..BUT I DO NOT!! Ivanna is totally responsible for his first 3 adult children .. Image, grace and able to behave ..NEVER saw any of her kids behave so impulsively and ignorant.
DJT's his own person..NOW POTUS.. Scrutiny will be far more than he ever had as Celebrity .. WORDS do have consequences..and I'm sure given his post election tweets will fuel demonstrations .. Even his Inaugural Speech was not so much Inspirational..however, DID fan the fuel for his base.
We already know that Melania WILL not be in the WHITEHOUSE ..will remain in NY for Barron's schooling. Let's give DJ-POTUS the room to do what he does best.. Trump is not the first POTUS that didn't have an active FLOTUS... But one must take a look back to learn about that. I sure don't think Melania will be be an active FLOTUS.. Ina.. Yep!! Ivanka and her hubby have already moved to DC.
Bottomline for me.. Melanie did what she needed to do today.. Barron, 10 year old, looked so lost and had no one near him during all the pomp and circumstance.. I actually felt bad for him
I'd guess in a general sense that she is a paid-for bride. Now that's harsh - but, in a way, a lot of deep gold diggers are somewhat of the same. He trafficked her (illegally, it seems) here to be in his harem.
It certainly isn't the "American" love at first sight at the pool hall or deli that I ended up living.
A woman like that from Eastern Europe (formerly commie) didn't have many chances in the world - so, in a way I think she is a "Russian Bride".
In a sense there is nothing wrong (or illegal) about that. Heck, I have friends that have Fillipino, Chinese and other such brides and they claim they are "far superior" to the run-of-the-mill red blooded American variety.
I guess it depends on who you are and how you look at life. I don't see them being "partners" in the sense that many of us may be with our wives.
Hopefully she will rise to the occasion because a first lady is very important in the entire scheme of things.
The left has reduced themselves to claiming they are experts at reading and understanding body language. They couldn't even understand Trump speak.
One way or another - I couldn't care less. But people are apparently interested.

With Trump as POTUS, stormy times are ahead for America. The nonsense about Melania and her feelings for Donald is the least of our problems.
You don't buy that story about her selling it to National Geographic after they discovered her as an extra in a Tarzan movie ? No one has ever proved that story.

No imagination needed. Just some keen observation, and it Melania's case, it didn't even need to be keen.
No insanity, either. It's obvious Melania is very sheltered and a very protective mother. Ain't a thing wrong with either. Do you honestly think any of this is obsession worthy these days, considering all the competition out there for as much obsession as possible?
No meltdown's gonna happen. No First Lady obsession will be happening after the new wears off, and that won't take long.
And young master Barron? Well, my hat's off to the Republicans who never went after the Obama girls. I believe Americans still respect the hands-off rule on Presidential kids, no matter which party they were born into. The Republicans treated the Obama girls fairly and followed that traditional rule, and I expect the Democrats will do exactly the same.
Personally, I am just glad some youngsters have livened up the White House after too many decades of nothing but adult dreariness, and I hope Barron does the same. I don't expect we will see much of him, but I hope he's just as pranky and full of life as so many others have been.
Once Melania settles in and relaxes a little, she will happily disappear into the woodwork as much as she can. All the obsession will go to her husband. It's what he craves the very most, and he will keep it coming, no matter how hard she tries to avoid it herself.
