They've been telling you this for six (6!!) years now, since Obama's first mid-terms. Now, a giant, orange monkey-wrench has just been tossed your way, hit you square in the forehead, and you're STILL not paying attention!

This election was about the continued repudiation of what the democrat party has morphed into.

Do you get it now?

Best post Coaastie. Completely agree with you. Liberals are sooooo clueless.

It's not just the fact that the Democrats lost the WH which they thought was a lock.

Or even that the House AND Senate are now controlled by the Republicans.

A more telling fact is , as you pointed out, over 1,000 state seats flipped from Democrat/Independent to Republican. These were changes that took place in many cases right in the towns/cities where these clueless liberals live.

And the continual bashing of Trump by the media will only strengthen the resolve of those of us who voted for Trump and in 4 years he will be re-elected and the libs will once again be sitting there asking "What happened." Enjoy the ride!!!

Yeah...lets ignore the multiple incidents of violence that happened at Trump's rallies, never mind the guy that flew an aircraft into the IRS building or the Bundy standoff. Get outta town with this "republicans aren't violent" bull****

I'd rather nothing happen, but between to two yes I would rather have someone say something than do something. There is a fundamental difference in talk and action. Let's not forget that when Hillary's husband fooled around with an intern he was the PRESIDENT of the United States and that he was later impeached for his actions on the grounds of perjury and obstruction of justice.

The fact that she had no issues with that behavior and chose to continue her relationship with him shows her character. As does her efforts to deny the Benghazi incident and most recently her attempts to deny any wrong doing with her emails. She's definitely an A+ character, right?

Let's also remember that the Bundy incident stemmed from the Government's decision to revoke his right to graze his cattle (his source of income) on Federal land.... something that until that time had been perfectly legal in the law' eyes. The situation escalated because of this and he did make efforts to de-escalate the situation and did allow some cattle to be taken. He also went to Portland and turned himself in to stop the standoff.

This wasn't started as a protest over whether someone was Republican or Democrat. It was started over a citizen who felt that his rights were being infringed upon by the Government. Oh and by the way, as an American citizen we have the right to stand up to the Government. Things may have been mishandled, but don't try to twist that into a Republican vs. Democrat debate. It had nothing to do with it.

Joseph Stack had issues no doubt. He was fed up with the way the Government was spending money to bail out institutions who mismanaged their money and how the Government wasn't helping people where they needed it most. He failed to handle this correctly and paid for it with his life. However AGAIN.... this was not a Republican versus Democrat issue. It was someone who was so fed up with our current system that he did something stupid.

I assume you meant the violence at Trump rallies caused by Trump protesters? I believe Trump protesters are liberal, correct?

June 18 in Las Vegas, Nevada. A 19-year-old man was arrested after attempting to grab a police officer's gun; the man later said he planned to use the weapon to kill the candidate.
19. June 16, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. A photographer was bloodied when he was hit in the head by a thrown rock after a Trump rally; it's not clear whether the object was thrown by a Trump supporter or an anti-Trump protester.

June 2, 2016 in San Jose, California. Protesters attacked and threw eggs at Trump supporters after a rally.

April 28, 2016 in Costa Mesa, California. A Trump supporter was bloodied, presumably by anti-Trump protesters, during a chaotic scene outside one of the candidate's rallies.

April 26, 2016, in Anaheim, California. Pro- and anti-Trump protesters scuffled outside a city council meeting that was considering a resolution denouncing the candidate; individuals on both sides of the issue appear to have used pepper spray as a weapon during the confrontation.

April 23, 2016, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A protester was pulled away in a chokehold by a police officer after reportedly trying to run back into a Trump rally he was being escorted out of.

Sorry, but your attempts to blame Republicans for these violent acts is reaching at best.

How have we lost so far?

Trump has been in office for 1 full day. In that day he has:

- Signed an executive order that withdraws the U.S. from the Trans Pacific Partnership. (You know, the one where we agree with other countries to remove any and all tariffs that make moving US production overseas more lucrative while cutting jobs here.)

- Signed an executive order that reinstates the Mexico City policy (requires non-government organizations to agree as a condition of receiving any federal funding that they would not perform or promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations. Meaning, another country cannot take our money and use it to perform what could be illegal abortions in other countries.)

- Signed an executive order that cancelled an FHA mortgage premium cut (that allowed people to essentially buy homes with poor credit scores, and increase risk on non-payment of mortgages when people figure out they can't afford it)

- Signed an executive order that waived provisions of the ACA that imposes a financial burden on states or individuals. (This order prevents catastrophic rate hikes and ets mandates and penalties off the backs of the poorest and sickest Americans)

Oh yea... I'm devastated that someone has a pair large enough to try and help get the country back on track.

I confess that I haven't read this whole thread. Why are liberals so nasty when we lose? It has nothing to do with loss, but rather with who won, who is sitting the White House right now. George Bush wasn't dangerous; he was kind of silly and easy to make fun of, but I was never terrified of him having nuclear codes. I never laid awake at night wondering if this country, or even the world, will still be here in four years - and if it is, what it will look like. This goes beyond liberal/conservative and democrat/republican. It's a matter of world stability. Try to look beyond your own noses for change; the world is very complex. Trump is a simple man. This is not going to be pretty if he is allowed to remain in power.

Considering White-supremacists groups publicly displaying support for President Trump and never Obama, this image is ironic.

You're right. It's not going to be pretty. But the things he does may be necessary to sustain our way of life and our future. If some of the "freebies" and policies that the Obama administration put in place are not reversed we will continue on a downward spiral.
