Trump had the most people ever watching his inauguration, with over 47 million people watching.
Millions of people no longer watch TV, or even own a TV, and watched the inauguration via livestream (CNN estimated over 16 million watched on livestreams).
The attempt by the left to downplay Trump's numbers is downright childish.
The numbers are the numbers, and if 47 million tuned in, good for all the media companies that will benefit from having covered the inauguration. However, let us remember that watching an event says nothing about how people feel about the event or the person at the center of it. Sadly, our new president, a former reality star, hasn't figured out that broadcast ratings are not the same thing as approval ratings. Lots of people will also tune into news coverage of a mass shooting, but I hardly think that indicates they look fondly upon the perpetrator.

What are the numbers for livestreaming the previous administration? Do we have those numbers? Not sure why you are so desperate to get the final tally in his favor if it really doesn't matter.
8 years ago, I didn't have the broadband to live stream the Inaguration. I watched via Satellite TV then.
Since then, I canceled satellite and use streaming & antenna. Much better TV that way.
IMO, the world wide audience was far higher, even more so than Reagan, which in 1980, wasn't available in much of the world.
A President is not suppose to work for certain groups, the government was not setup for special needs of every citizen. Your state does this and community. People need to stop asking the government to guide your thoughts and moves. President Trump said he was for Americans, is this not you?
