It's because, for Trump and his lemmings, the size of Trump's ego's penis is far more important than statesmanship or anything of real political substance.

I mean, these are people who voted for a six-times bankrupt washed up reality tv celeb who is a known, admitted fraud appealing to the lowest-common-denominator crowd by invoking hate, fear, ignorance and bigotry.

I keep thinking about the statement Hillary Clinton made several times during her campaign: "You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts." Apparently, the Trump administration believes otherwise.

Well, it takes a lot of work and sweat to shovel as much horsecrap as she does. She'll be positively skeletal by Spring.

True in both relationships, and politics.
I understand lying but over size of your crowd, thats is troubling, having said that I do think we are between a rock and hard place, in one part I get not wanting to normalize this behavior in the other hand we have to stop thinking that trump is going to turn into something he is not, he is not a politician he is not going to measure his words, he is a egomaniac and for some reason his base finds that endearing, he is who he is and that is who he was on the campaign trail, remember he flat out lied about the nfl asking him to move the debate and continued to deny it, that mirrors what he did here.

Even Fox seems to have discovered something resembling a spine, it's fascinating:

WALLACE: OK, you talk about honesty and say that this was about honesty. Well, there's another issue here, though, Reince, and that is the president's honesty, because two things that he said yesterday were just flat wrong, and I want to talk about them.

First, crowd size. I’m going to put up, take a look at these pictures. We’ve got monitors here.

PRIEBUS: But there’s another picture.

WALLACE: Wait, let’s take -- take a look at those pictures. On the left, you've got the Obama inaugural crowd. On the right, you've got the Trump inaugural crowd. Which one is bigger?
Priebus: We will not let media 'delegitimize this president'; McConnell on confirmation fights over Trump's Cabinet picks | Fox News

Those of us who did not support Trump need to stop looking for or expecting good mental health.

These are people we are not used to, nor do we know how to deal with them.

They are lying to our faces and they know that we know it.

Something is happening here and you don't know what it is, do you, Mr Jones.

People genuinely believed Hillary was going to be president. Half of the country was going to be wrong either way. There was no lie in that.

Meanwhile let's see what Kellyanne had to say about Trump before she sold her soul to the Devil:

Quote:
But look, it's one thing to hurl personal insults at somebody's wife, and that cost Mr. Trump dearly in Wisconsin and dearly among women voters all across this country. Read the polls. Mr. Trump loves the polls. You live by the polls, you die by the polls.

But it is quite another to accuse Ted Cruz himself and professionals who have been at this long as you have, Ed, practically, of committing a felony and breaking a law. We could just brush it off, but it shows you the danger of just saying things that aren't true and getting people to believe it and getting 20,000 people at a rally today to just lap it up as if it's true.
