Poor Kellyanne. That 3-foot neck of hers must cause problems getting enough blood pumped into her brain for it to function very well.
"Alternate facts?" What?
Like the south won the Civil War, or the Sun revolves around the Earth? Facts like that?
I guess I'll just have to listen to her heart, not her words. Like she said we should do with her boss. I wish she had offered some instructions on how to do that; the only thing I've ever heard a heart say is "thumpa-thumpa".
That's not much, but it's better than 'alternate facts'.
^^^ He lies because he doesn’t know what the truth is half the time. And if he does know and doesn’t like it he’ll change it to what works for him “in his own mind”. He’s a pathological liar.
Well, this is the new normal. When you blatantly lie, like this administration is seemingly going to do, you have to come up with a new phrase for your lies. Today Kellyanne Conway, referencing the lies told by Press Secretary Sean Spicer on his estimates of inauguration crowd size, called them "alternative facts".
This is straight out of the Russian playbook, where the government uses propaganda in every press release.
Kudos to Chuck Todd for saying there is no such thing as an "alternative fact", it is actually a falsehood.
I agree Chuck Todd was great in that interview. It is also noteworthy that later in the program Todd showed the declining GOP support in the DC suburbs as one plausible reason for the lower turnout. Basically, he did the Trump administration's job for them.
But our snowflake in chief President is too thin skinned to be faced with the fact that the turn out for his inauguration was lower than Obama's in 08.
That was all that was there when I posted it I stated that I was going by what they showed on local TV. (maybe you missed that) Looks as if they had about 10,000 as you said though there were also Trump supporters there as well.
So, from the time you posted, 9,960 people materialized... riiiight.
All he had to say was, "Yes, the turnout was smaller than I would have hoped, and I am deeply appreciative for every person who came out to witness this very special day. It appears I have a lot to do to earn America's approval, and I'm excited to get down to work." That would have been a dignified way to handle it, and he could even have tweeted it. But, no, he had to send out his attack dogs to deny what every person in America could clearly see was true.
