Brown is going to be a champion in fighting for the environment and against climate change, and be best buddies with the number one offender in that area, China?

China has recognized climate change and man made pollution and is committed worldwide to do something about it. So is California.
Trump and the new administration is not, has stated as much. Even so far as to put climate change deniers in charge of our environmental department.

What's up with Russia that makes Trump want to kiss Putin's ass so much anyway? Brown making overtures to China is small potatoes comparatively speaking.

Why not? Trump is your hero and he's been kissing Putin's ass for years now and plans to make America the Kremlin of the west.

LOL
You think China is commited to do something about man made pollution?
Go to China, any city, for a day. Then you come back and post that with a straight face.

China is one of the most corrupt, dirty nations in the modern world.

Of course you'd love someone who is a shill for the communists. Funny how liberals get their panties in a twist about Russia but can't wait to jump in bed with China.

Im not necessarily defending the Chinese government, but your not entirely correct.

China blazed ahead of the rest of the world in terms of investment in renewable energy last year, spending a total of $103bn, or 36% of the world total

Treason. Plus, states are prohibited from entering into trade agreements with foreign countries.

Ever since the USSR became just plain Jane Russia, the left stopped loving them. They are so judgemental of those who reject their favored ideology.

"They are a smaller country, they are a weaker country, their economy doesn’t produce anything that anybody wants to buy except oil and gas and arms. They don’t innovate.” Pres. Obama on Russia

It might not be evident to Trump supporters but Asia is the future. Russia produces nothing and its economy is in shambles. China is a completely different beast; it's in our best interest not to start a trade war anytime soon.
