I like advances and regulations opened up for personal hydroelectric power... I like investments into solar panel efficiency... and I like to lower my electric bill by getting coal energy... why can't I have all three?
65% say developing solar and wind power should be top priority
27% say developing oil, gas and coal should be top priority
Trump says he's the people's president, putting America and Americans first.
In 2016 there was more job creation in solar and wind than in fossil fuel energy.
Will Trump listen to what the people want?
Nice try, but no. That was the Obama mentality. All power sources are good.
The poll is misleading. I would have answered yes to more green energy but realistically I don't want to pay extra for it or be inconvienced by it.
If you can make an electric car for $20k that has a range of 300 miles and can be fueled at any gas station for less than the price of gas in under 10 minutes I'm all about it.
Irrelevant. Just because someone isn't going to pay the current costs doesn't mean they are against the continued research and development of alternative sources.
Cancer research has been incredibly expensive but I think most people appreciate the gains that have been made.
No, it's actually your post that's irrelevant. See the post by Ziggy100.
Cancer? Apples to oranges my friend. Cancer treatment is covered by insurance. Not so with green energy.

Without a fundamental breakthrough in physics, it's never going to be more efficient to generate electricity, transmit it over distance, convert it to chemical energy to be stored in a battery made of rare earth elements, and then convert it back for mechanical use. It's hugely inefficient to do it this way. And never mind the current ranges, charge times, and costs are impractical for 95% of the motoring public.
Best they skip the battery thing all together and go straight to hydrogen fuel cells.
We are speaking about today. I'm not sure why this has to be pointed out over and over.
Driving down the road there are a family sizable number of Hybrids on the road now.
I could sit here and say, "I know someone or my brother in law..." Instead, I'm RETIRED from a major electric utility that has lots of generation, transmission and distribution. I, just like coalman, have posted on this subject so many times it gives me a headache seeing all the BS that is spread by people who don't know but they know someone or they have a brother in law...
It's not B.S. that the coal fired power plant he works at is on the verge of shutting down.
Willow Island power plant. WV.

I supported little to nothing that Obama did so you can keep your political rants elsewhere.

That the same people who want to eat what they like and not get fat? People ask for low fat food all the time , and then don't eat it because it tastes like crap. So try asking them if they would like to pay triple the price and have brown outs...
