If this was a business the second part of my plan would be to cut them loose and turn over the business to private corporations. Let private business do the work if it's so important. They do it better and much cheaper probably with 1/2 the workforce.
No they don't. The contractors I've seen have done poor quality work at a higher cost.

You get Per diem or as you say whatever the darn hotel offers in via catering- $50 Danishes -- served with golden butter-- but not like all gov't employees attend these things- they need to clean up their own mess in DC- the country only sees their terrible abuse.

I should of taken a picture of some of the free lunches I got on fire assignments last summer. I'm not sure if the bagged lunches or the MRE's were worse.
