Planned Parenthood has been putting extra emphasis on its non-abortion services recently in an attempt to justify the $500 million in taxpayer money it receives every year. Its leaders claim that being defunded would hurt millions of women who depend on Planned Parenthood for services like prenatal care, breast exams and birth control.
...
“The upcoming ‘Abortion Corporation’ investigative videos, combined with our recent video that debunked Planned Parenthood’s claim that only 3 percent of its services are abortions, are a powerful argument to defund Planned Parenthood of its half a billion dollars in taxpayer funding,” Rose said.
When I volunteered at PP for several years, the office didn't provide services to pregnant mothers. Pregnant moms were referred to several local obstetricians including a local community hospital clinic. There were no obstetricians working in this office and to my knowledge there were no obstetricians employed at any of the surrounding PP offices in my community either.
Our PP office provided parenting classes, sexually transmitted disease testing/treatment, cervical cancer treatment, birth control, pap smears, free condoms, HIV testing, and pregnancy testing. Periodically, they also provided free mammograms. Those patients found to have suspicious mammograms were referred to specialists as the office I volunteered in didn't employ cancer specialists to treat breast cancer.

PP also doesn't provide mammograms or prostate exams. They don't remove uterine tumors or treat men with erectile dysfunction. They aren't a one-stop shop for all stuff Junk.
I'm not sure what your point is? Do you think they are SO BUSY KILLING BABIES they don't have time to do those sorts of specialized exams?
Hmmm, I never before thought about what a misnomer "Planned Parenthood" is. If the organization doesn't do prenatal care, or anything to help women to become pregnant (that is, become a PARENT), then they aren't doing any "parenthood planning", are they? Should be called "Prevent Parenthood."
BTW, I'm not opposed to PP. I got my BC from them decades ago.
I have always associated PP with family planning, not prenatal medical care. I got my first BCP prescription there freshman year in college. We all did.
Prenatal care is done by an obstetrician. PP generally doesn't have OBs on staff.
