I've never experienced it myself. I think the closest we came was Brian Mulroney. He wasn't a fan of the media and he let them know, other than that nothing much really stands out.
Welp, good luck!
Our Cheeto-in-Chief is not a madman. He is a bull **** artist, shyster, fraud that conned his way to the WH.
There was no con, everyone knew he was a megalomaniac opportunist, womanizer, egomaniac, etc etc
They just DIDN'T CARE, big difference. When will you people get this through your skull?
No, that's not why he's a con. What you say is true. Anyone over the age of say, 40, has heard enough about Trump in the last 25+ years that we already knew these things about him. Nothing new there.
He conned his fans into believing that he's a conservative, first of all. He conned them into believing that he cares about the issues facing regular working joes, that he's a man of the people. He conned them into believing that he's anti-establishment and that he will govern differently, more justly, more conscientiously, putting the interests of hard-working Americans from Manhattan to the most rural, isolated communities, at the center of his policies. He conned them into believing that, unlike career politicians, he is trustworthy.

He's a slick salesman, that Trump.
One thing a good salesman & a good Con Artist have in common is they have the tendency to be opportunistic.
