Trumps speech, to the point, no fluff, no beating around the bush, no hype with emotional stories to work on your emotions.. Just the assurance that Trump will stand up for all Americans.. Plain and simple.

I have not heard anyone call it insulting. It was dark and painted a very negative picture of US (American carnage), but not insulting.

Yes, I was happy until I was told I my life is crap, and that I should be angry.

I was left wondering why no previous U.S. President in modern history, whether Republican or Democrat, gave a speech like this and addressed these issues head on like Donald Trump did.

It was right on the money. America first, indeed.

This!! Every conceivable metric has the US on the rise, but Trump won by presenting a dystopian reality to his minions, one worse then Mad Max, it's one where you need skills, education, and everyone's not white....the horror!!!!!

I will. He insulted every member of Congress, every president who stood beside him and came before him.

"For too long, a small group in our nation's Capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished -- but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered -- but the jobs left, and the factories closed."

"The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country."

Not only was his speech insulting, much of it was a lie.

Is the murder in the inner city like Chicago not a carnage? That's a normal and fantastic life to you?

It's also a metaphor. Have you been to the states where they lost nearly all manufacturing jobs? Is that not a business carnage?

"January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again. "

Interestingly enough, on January 21st 2017, the people showed up.

I didn't love the speech but it is what it is. I guess Trump really does not have any PC in him.

I would have preferred he just stay positive for that speech and tell the truth after the Liberals blow into a bag for a month or so and realize their world is not coming to an end.

Then they can go back to watching Teletubbies and Rainbow Brite.
