Are you asking if white people or black people are more racist in the south?
Doubtful that blacks experience racism there since 55% of the black population lives there, according to the 2010 census. Why would they stay? Wouldn't that be stupid?

No. They are not. Its a stereotype. There is less racial diversity in the south I believe. This due to much of the south being more rural. Metropolitan areas will naturally attract more people and more people means greater diversity. Being less racially diverse does not mean being racist.
Lol, obviously you have never driven through the south, or looked at the census.
Haven't you heard, Boston is the most racist place ever.
This is North vs South. Not Boston vs the south. Let's not bother with individual areas because it will just be an ongoing back and forth with city discussions.

Yeah, looking at stats the south seems average. Being in the south, rural south, there appears to be much less diversity than in larger cities in the north.
Why then do you suppose the south has this negative stereotype for being racist?

You honestly think there is LESS racial diversity in the south than in other parts of the country?
I don't think it's more racist but, at least in my area, it tends to be more self segregated.
Even in "the city" (really just the biggest town nearby) there are the predominately black areas and stores and the predominately white areas and stores, then there are the latino areas and stores. The local Walmart tends to be the exception everyone goes there.
