I started this thread so as not to derail an already sprawling, 34 1/2 page (x 20 posts per page) thread on the Women's March and inaugural violence. Liberals like to cultivate an image of themselves as being oh so compassionate and caring. I quoted a particularly representative post alleging that liberals have a monopoly on compassion and caring.

I lost my view of liberals as compassionate a long time ago. During my childhood I wasn't always popular and I saw an occasional psychiatrist or psychologist along the way. I am now a successful attorney so don't feel sorry for me.

In 1972, McGovern picked Eagleton as his VP candidate. Investigative reporter Jack Anderson discovered that Eagleton had been successfully treated for bipolar disorder. He had been functioning successfully for years as a well-known and well-regarded U.S. Senator. After McGovern announced he was "1000% behind" Eagleton, he dumped him from the ticket. I promptly lost my view of Democrats as being particularly compassionate.

Liberals are the most violent and vicious people. Thank goodness we have laws protecting us. They have no freaking compassion! If they did, they wouldn't want you dead so that they could advance their own agenda.

If you want to see how liberals function, you can read up what liberals do when they are in power. Look up Viet Cong, Chinese Communist Party, USSR, North Korea, Nazi party, etc. etc. and see what they have done to get a sense what the liberals would do. Without exception, once they seize power, they killed off millions of innocent people.

A little clue for you, lifey.

Communists and liberals are only considered equivalent by folks who know very little about either.

Communist regimes are often extremely autocratic and repressive regimes, pretty much the opposite of what folks consider liberal or progressive.

As are Muslim majority country regimes. Yet liberals seem to like to side with them against progressive democracies such as Israel. Go figure.

You can tell me the theory all you want but I grew up in a communist country. The behavior of the American liberals is exactly the same as the communists. Even the tactics are the same.

Watching the liberals brings back the nostalgia that I try to avoid.

Not true. Communism is an extreme form of liberal policies. Militant liberal policies to promote "the common good." No one is allowed to get ahead and outperform others on their own steam. Socialism is a little less extreme on the spectrum, but it still relies on milder militant liberal policies and heavy taxation to pay for the abundant government services provided.

Read Ayn Rand's books.

That's just in theory.

In the real life, all liberals are extreme except in this country, we have laws restricting their behavior.

Yes, because all liberals are out there rioting and pillaging, right?

The truth? There were no arrests at the Women's March in L.A. on Saturday. 750,000 people overwhelmed the Metro system (1-2 hour waits for trains and subways!), and yet everything was peaceful.

Liberals Are No More Compassionate Than Anyone Else

And no less, it's a large group of people subject to the same human good/bad as every other large group of people.
