ETP (Energy Transfer Partners) is a major company involved in the Dakota Pipeline.

"Donald Trump owned ETP stock through at least mid-2016, and ETP's chief executive, Kelcy Warren, donated $100,000 to his campaign."

Today, Donald J. Trump signed an executive order advancing the pipeline's construction, which will earn ETP tens of millions in profit.

Nobody has any issue with this? What if Obama had done exactly what Trump is doing? Would conservatives not be furious?? Yes, of course they would be. LOL

Nope. Because as you note, but don't seem to understand at all, Trump sold all of his stocks last summer so this exact claim could not be used against him.

He liquidated his entire stock portfolio without knowing that he would be President or not. You should be thanking him for that. (something tells me you won't)

Can someone explain how this is going to alleviate the huge slow down in the industry? Arent gas prices way down because of too much supply? Houston's economy has been in a tailspin for 2 years because oil prices tanked.

How does the Keystone XL pipeline help us with energy independence if its moving oil from Canada to an already ovetsaturated US market?

It is moving it to a refinery for processing, not the market.

Well, as far as oil, imports account for 24% of our total consumption, and we import more oil from Canada than all OPEC nations combined.

How much petroleum does the United States import and export? - FAQ - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)
