Well, she certainly didn't mean the type of "dog" that our President meant when he was referring to women as slobs, dogs and pigs. Frankly, I never heard of Joss Whedon before today. I wasn't even sure if we were talking about a man or a woman.
Anyway, I said I don't like name-calling, but to refer to someone (male or female) as a lapdog is entirely different from insulting her appearance.
