The media needs to start fighting back, and it needs to happen now. No more live interviews should be granted; fact checkers need to pull apart every statement from this lying bunch of morally destitute, evil people. When they tell a lie, the press needs to immediately show the truth. Period. No more giving them any wiggle room to spout their BS as facts.
Hint: Your side lost. Donald Trump is your new President. No matter how hard the media tried, and actually, in spite of it, he won. Those of us who voted for Donald Trump were voting AGAINST the lying, corrupt media, at least in part. We're sick to freaking death of the lies.

What half of the nation hears when people like yourself clutch your pearls over the media's credibility at this point is: "I'm worried that at least half of the nation will begin to see the media purely as propagandists for the Left".

What the nation needs is fact checkers for your media, going from the present back to the second world war. When such documentation takes place, the current iteration of the media establishment will never have even a sliver of hope at credibility again *(they don't now, but a multi-decade document will hammer the point home).
It's the media's relentless propaganda that is endangering them and this nation. You should be upset at that because it endangers the concept of press freedom; when the press does not act as press but hides under the cloak of its freedoms.
Your "fight back" nonsense is pathetically out of touch. You've enjoyed message dominance for decades, through this media propaganda machine. The Trump revolution is the fight. Don't kid yourself that you are not a supporter of the establishment. Even to this day, The Right has to rely on practically guerilla news outlets for its messaging, where you enjoy ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, PBS, the NYT, the WaPo, and almost every other city daily paper in the nation. "Fight back". That's cute. Give me a break. You'll never get back the MSM's lost credibility. It's forever gone, and the more you flail in revolt against that fact the more that your side will commit acts that facilitate further erosion of the MSMs credibility as anything approaching objective journalism.
Do you not think that Trump voters are witnessing the daily media assassination of Trump? Do you not think that we observe your privilege? Do you not think that we observe your violent acting out, and protesting of a legitimate election, merely because you disliked the results of democracy after eight years of being extremely coddled and decades of being catered to?
You should be telling your side to shut their mouths beyond reporting who,what,where, and when at this specific juncture, lest they worsen the circumstances in this nation beyond anything that is reparable. Because they can't stand to lose like adults. You fight this battle to any further extreme, and I guarantee that you are putting this nation at risk of losing it all.
Bannon is right, the long time purveyors of fake news for propaganda purposes (CNN, ABC, NBC, PBS, CBS) need to be fact checked and discredited with 99% of their 'stories.'

And.....the media LIED, again today, claiming that State Department senior officials staged a mass resignation. In reality Trump fired them. Bannon is correct.
Unfortunately it hasn't. Large segment of the population suffers from sever cognitive dissonance and wants to be force fed what they want to see. In their world, facts only matter if they fit within their already made up mind.
Pictures, video evidence be damned. They don't care because it doesn't fit their story. Words have meaning but in their world they twist and distort the words. Which is why you have Trump defense force saying things like "oh that wasn't what he meant" or "don't' take him literally".

Possibly the most ignorant thing I've read all day, but of course far from the first time we've heard this. This is what happens when people only consume liberal mainstream media and never have the curiousity to seek out different viewpoints. Conservatives are bombarded with liberal media everywhere they go, and is one of the reasons they overall understand their opposition more than vice versa.

Media, especially the NYT, discredit itself. On the morning of the election, the NYT election page had Hillary a 97% certainty to win. You just needed to drive down any road in America and note the Trump yardsigns outnumbered Hillary's by multiples of 10. People made videos of it and posted it on youtube. you just had to see the disparity in rally sizes. No one apparently at the NYT sought to question this versus their polling data that required massive oversamplings to arrive at a Hillary win.
The big media no longer can make a living reporting actual news. Does anyone actually wait until the morning to buy a newspaper and read what happened? Does anyone actually sit down at 6.30 pm and watch the network evening news on the EastCoast? Small, agile websites and government funded outfits like the BBC will beat them to the news.
Big media have become magazines with long cozy stories that invariably require a viewpoint. If you are living in NYC or make your living there, it will be tainted by the people that are there. I don't care to read some sob story about illegals, when I know that my formers neighbors had their future stolen by outsourcing and by NAFTA.
