I think that creating this discussion is deflecting from what the core of the issue is.
An outgoing President has never been allowed to just take documents from The White House. They have ALWAYS had to have an agreement with the National Archivbes institution.
It is not private property and not to be removed.
Even if there was some ignorance to that concept, the fact that there was back and forth for over a year on the return of documents, suggests that there was a concerted effort to NOT abide by these regulations.
As for a privatre server.....I remember Hillary Clinton's argument was that she had a secure server given that her husband was President and it was required for his business...blah blah.
So yeah -- Trump could and should.....but at the end of the day...the hard copies of the documents shouldnot have been taken.
Personal files should never have been tossed in with 'work' documents.
What's good for the goose, is apparently, not good for the gander.
"According to a new poll by Public Policy Polling, supporters of President Donald Trump say he should be allowed to have a private email server.
"Forty-two percent of Trump voters think he should be allowed to have a private email server to just 39 percent who think he shouldn't be allowed to," according to a write-up of the poll."
He got his private, unsecured server. The Trump family routinely used it for government business, and the stories were all over the media. I have no idea why this thread would be resurrected unless to make a point that Trump was egregious in attempting to outdo Hillary.

well thats not how nara works but aside from that,
hillarys husband was president over 10 years and 3 generations of technology before she got hers. she broke the law. in fact the law she broke is CLEARER than the 'law' trump is to have broke, and we have not gotten into the obstruction that she now brags about. good to have friends up high.

Why should someone trust a guy called "Drunk in Guam" to install an e-mail server?
