Based on what? What's the evidence of a permanent ban?

Obama did the same thing in 2011. Were you outraged then? Or was it OK because Obama did it?

I just explained to you that starting over or ammending the process takes years in many cases, therefore the ban may be temporary but the reality is not.

That's all I'm saying to you.

Take your circular arguments elsewhere, I'm not interested.

I just saw a local news piece on a Christian Syrian family who have been working to come to the US to escape persecution since 2003. A lot of their family is already here. The arrived at Philadelphia International at 7:30 AM yesterday.

They were given the choice to purchase return tickets home or be detained here indefinitely.

They returned. It's completely unclear whether they are now going to have to start the whole process over.

When you spend 14 years going through the process and dealing with the authorities to get granted legal access, and that paperwork has been declared invalid - there's nothing "temporary" about it if you have to redo or ammend the intermitable process.

They weren't coming in as asylum seekers. It's inhumane and ill conceived at the outset.
We would have fewer asylum seekers if the "left" hadn't allowed Obama to bomb the hell out of the asylum seekers countries.

Turning away people with nothing isn't something to be proud of. Destroying their country for the benefit of Wall Street is certainly no more so.

Did President Obama ‘Ban’ Iraqi Refugees? | Heavy.com

Obama does it... It's okay.
Trump does it... The world has ended...

It doesn't matter what your imagination dreams up. The FACT is that it's a temporary pause pending further vetting.

I'm certainly not proud of it.

Regardless, here we are, and we can only deal with what's happening to these people now.

It's not a temporary pause for people who have already been vetted and now have to be vetted again. There's nothing temporary about that.

It doesn't matter when the ban is formally lifted, if you are stuck for years going through another round of vetting it's not temporary to YOU.

Enough with Trump. Resist! He will not Divide us.
This is exactly what happens when kids are raised without parents that say NO to them. They want their way regardless.

This is exactly what happens when laws are ignored for convenience.

This is how, they have infiltrated this country for many years, no one was being vetted, how can you vet people who come over from a dessert that live in tents, and don't even know how old they are, let alone, paperwork and birth records????????

The law is the law, and it is not unconstitutional to do this,

We have to start all over again....and that is what is happening....if people cannot understand it's for their own safety then too bad...things are changing, you cannot allow people from all over the world to constantly enter this country...without keeping an eye on them.

They knew this was going to happen, did they think Trump was lying?

In FACT, it is. It's not a permanent ban. Period.
