Location, location, location. That is why real estate prices are so high here.

This is just another thread of envy from flyover country.

It's so funny how much time some Americans spend hating a huge part of their own country and their own people.

I have lived there and my late brother was born there. The state has a perpetual money grab ongoing such as my issue when in the navy. Or some pregnant idiot got my name and tried a paternity suit and the state was ready to make me pay when I never played.

The place sucks big rotten ones.

I'd live there if I could afford it.

You haven't seen hate until you've read comments about any national news story about Texas.

All of these "State X Sucks" threads are silly.

It all depends on the local area and one's own personal situation. Does CA suck? Sure, if you're poor and living in an impoverished high-crime area, of course it sucks. Just like it would suck in any other state.

If you're rich and have a house on the coast, CA is probably great. If you're poor and living in a bad part of LA, CA is probably not so great.

Default Cali

Californians don't use or say the word "Cali." Please find and use the correct vernacular.

BTW, I hate California politicians -- state and federal. I really hate the taxes. The PC crap is horrifying. And the fact that we haven't been able to rid the state legislature and state senate of their Democratic majorities in years is sickening.

Great! I love this thread and the original post; the last thing we need is more people moving to California. It's a terrible place. Awful. That's why I've spent my entire life here.
