I don't see why..... Anyone who still lives on Fakebook and gets that involved with it after all they've admitted to and done gets just what they deserve...

No different than those grocery store loyalty programs which people willingly sign up for and actually give all their real information to just for some pennies off coupons. A place where they track and manipulate your purchases as much as they can.

If the story is true so what? The only people they targeted were the fools that gave 'em the opening in the first place...

I'll just leave this here.

Oh the irony.

The Obama campaign did the same thing in 2012.

Ex-Obama Campaign Director Drops Bombshell Claim on Facebook

In a Sunday tweet thread, Carol Davidson, former director of integration and media analytics for Obama for America, said the 2012 campaign led Facebook to “suck out the whole social graph” and target potential voters. They would then use that data to do things like append their email lists.

When Facebook found out what they were doing, they were “surprised,” she said.

I pretty offended by how short the left thinks my memory is.

Barak Obama worked hand in glove with both Google and Facebook to gain Big Data detail to drive his campaigns. It was touted as a new way of doing things.
Now all the sudden such actions is "concerning" "maybe illegal"

well go take a long walk off a short pier. the thing that has the left so utterly whacked out of their minds is that Republicans are catching on and using the LEFTS RULES. they don't like it when the playing field is level.

oh yea and this story comes out right about the time the left figured out the Andrew McCabe firing was generated by the Inspector Generals report .... the IG being an Obama APPOINTEE....

gotta change the narrative.

again. long walk.... short pier... Parana infested waters....

The kind of propaganda pushed by Cambridge Analytica works best on the uninformed...millennials, that means you. Your primary sources of information are from online sources and your friends. Two thirds of the millennial vote went to Trump.

It concerns me when both parties (and it is both parties) try to manipulate voters with half truths and outright lies.

As for the poster above who brought up Obama in reference to me. I'm on record as not being happy with either Obama or Hillary Clinton. That's why I didn't vote for either of them (voted twice against Obama).

You may want to brand me as a troll, but I'm just thinking for myself. You are, of course, free to think for yourself too.

And, ultimately, that is why the whole Cambridge Analytica thing (and other use of data by politicians) concerns me. It's about preserving our individual rights to think for ourselves, regardless of whether or not we agree with each other. If people aren't aware of just how deeply they're being psychologically manipulated, they're not really thinking for themselves.

You are, as I said, free to disagree. I won't take it personally. Nor will I call you a troll.
