If Putin and the oligarchs (both the Russian and the American ones) get away with this, we might as well burn the Constitution and get ready to live like the Russians with scam elections, and fear of being assassinated if you oppose the rulers.

This is serious business.

Regardless of the disinformation propaganda Russian trolls and RW folks spew constantly, they know it too.
you seem bitter

of course no doubt Democrats now excuse their loss by pretending this was a "Sham" election now

Are you just kidding? Of course, some of us are bitter. It was a "sham," election in so many ways; and you know it. Trump is a dud and full so full of BS, it oozes out of his pores. He probably knows he should resign, but is so full of himself, he just can't do it. If some people don't realize this, because, some things do look rosy, than wake up and look at the overall picture. This is a national security problem and it is bigger than you and I.

Christopher Wylie is testifying before UK lawmakers this week about Cambridge Analytica's involvement in elections around the world. Here is one article about his testimony related to their work in Kenya:

Christopher Wylie Says His Predecessor Was Poisoned | Time

Christopher Wylie, the former employee of Cambridge Analytica who alleged that the data firm had harvested data from 50 million Facebook users, told Members of Parliament in the U.K. that he believes his predecessor at the firm was poisoned in a Kenyan hotel room after a deal went wrong.

Wylie told a parliamentary select committee that he was told by the firm a few months after he began his position that the man whose job he took, Dan Muresan, had died in Kenya. Muresan was in his thirties when he died, said Wylie. Wylie emphasized that what he had heard was “pure speculation,” but that he had been told Muresan had been working on a political deal that soured, that Muresan had been poisoned, and that police had been bribed not to enter the hotel room.

For those who are interested in learning more about Cambridge Analytica, here is an interesting article from ZDNet:

Data breach exposes Cambridge Analytica's data mining tools | ZDNet

A Canadian political data firm called AggregateIQ (AIQ) left a large code repository downloadable online, according to a security researcher, exposing the political data and microtargeting tools that various Republican campaigns used to try to influence voters in the United States' 2016 election cycle.

The exposed data reveals AIQ's ties to the embattled data analytics firm Cabridge Analytica -- and, by extension, its ties to the campaigns of conservative Texas politicians Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. Greg Abbott. As reported by Gizmodo, they also reveal AggregateIQ (AIQ)'s connection to Ukrainian steel magnate Serhiy Taruta, head Ukraine's newly formed Osnova party.

The data warehouse, discovered by UpGuard Director of Cyber Risk Research Chris Vickery, was hosted on a subdomain of AIQ and using a custom version of Gitlab, located at the web address gitlab.aggregateiq.com.

And this is an interesting look at some of the implications of collecting and using data for political purposes (it looks at both CA and the Obama campaign's use of data for political campaigning). It comes from the Royal United Services Institute, an independent think tank that conducts defense and security research for corporations.

One interesting point from their analysis is that if law enforcement or a national intelligence agency wanted to collect and analyze personal data using the methods used by political researchers, they would probably require a warrant to do so, and would need to demonstrate that the invasion of privacy was necessary to prevent a serious crime.

You sound pissed that Hillary couldn't start her war with Russia.

According to Wired, Mark Zuckerberg has been asked to testify before several Congressional committees on the Cambridge Analytica data breach.

Zuckerberg To Testify To Congress on Cambridge Analystica Scandal

A spokesperson for the House Energy and Commerce committee said that the committee is working with Facebook to determine a day and time for Mr. Zuckerberg to testify.
At least two Senate committees—Judiciary, and Energy and Commerce—also have asked Zuckerberg to testify.

Zuckerberg denied a request to appear UK Parliament, according to the BBC.

The Federal Trade Commission confirmed on Monday that it had begun an investigation into Facebook's data-handling practices, following the reports.
