The Department of Homeland Security has recommended two Millbrook High School students be returned to Central America following their arrest Thursday for having a gun on campus.
Those are recommendations we haven't heard in a long time from DHS. Good work.
The one that was in the country illegally needs to be sent packing the other 2 need to face criminal charges.
Questions also need to be asked such as were they planning on killing someone? Are they in a gang and planned to use the gun to intimidate someone or to "guard them" while they sell drugs? Where did they get the gun? was it stolen, borrowed or found?
Lots of questions in this case but these kids need to face the penalties of carrying a gun to school.
We need much more information before we jump to conclusions. Would it made any difference if these were citizens planning to go to a gun range after school instead of "Columbians" that are assumed to be criminals? Are these kids drug runners of just plain old fashioned bootleggers? Are they brown shinned or pale white guys? Does that make a difference? Should it?
