President Trump has slammed the previous administration for “profiteering” on student loans, and has vowed to end the “student loans scam”.

In an interview with The Hill, Trump laid the blame on the student loan crisis firmly on the shoulders of the federal government – which he says will come to an end on his watch.

“That’s probably one of the only things the government shouldn’t make money off. I think it’s terrible that one of the only profit centers we have is student loans,” he said.

This is good. I can see this gaining bi-partisan support.

That could easily be folded into the ACA replacement plan.

However, I do think this student loan plan would gain bi-partisan support.

Hey the GOP controlled house and Senate refused to lower rates because they see the potential for income. Just another way the gas oil party raises taxes and fees.

How do you know it's good? Just like every other Trump initiative, Trump hasn't given a clue on how he intends to end the "Student loan scam". All he's done is make another proclamation.
For all you know, he intends to end all federal assistance via low interest loans to families and students and replace it all with commercial loans from private banks at credit card rates.
