Well I will add this, TR has his bust on Mount Rushmore along with Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson, Trump never will be included, or have any other major monument put up in honor him.

I love the stories about Teddy, but he was a president in a different time.

He was the first president to invite a black man to have dinner at the white house with him. But the criticism from his peers was so scathing it was the last time that ever happened under his Presidency. He also pardoned John W. Pace who kept many "debt slaves". Remember the 13th amendment bars slavery "except as punishment for a crime". So black men were being randomly picked up on trumped on charges, or outright fabricated charges and forced to work to pay off their fines.

He was a bit of a maverick for his time, there are some things he did I support and there were things he did I found down right wrong, especially by today's standards.

cool placate us. sounds great. You could start with telling your reps to impeach trump.

remember you guys had 16 people to pick from. some were lame some were good. You guys picked the all singing all dancing but of the world. You had real policy driven people in there. people who had your interests in mind. YOU guys picked the dancing fool...

so if you do feel it is time to placate, start with trump and maybe sessions too...

Teddy Roosevelt would have no place in the current Republican Party. In fact, he was an outcast in the GOP in his own day who was kicked upstairs to the Vice Presidency to get him out of New York, because he was too liberal and too honest to be considered a reliable Republican.

The really ironic thing about your pronunciation is that Roosevelt was a screaming liberal for his times. After all, he was the one who founded the PROGRESSIVE Pary.
