Celebrities have different opinions than me, Waaaaaaa!

They're so mean! I won't watch them anymore!

They're not "real". Only me and people who think like I do are real. Or people who live in the middle of the country. All those people who live along the ocean can't be real.

Celebrities are on edge. Their industry is dying and they know it. Hollywood is yesterday's news and they are looking for ways to stay in the spotlight. In 10 years most movies will be made on an Apple computer with cgi actors and will be better than the real thing.

And they know it's coming.

I can't look at amazon or starbucks the same. Everybody in this country deserves security. They treat our military like crap.
You mean CEOs like Trump, with his own private security detail who owns multiple mansions and penthouses and used his celebrity to get elected?

I'm not aware of CEOs and celebrities who treat the military like crap. Some have long championed/ raised funds for Veterans. What have I missed?

CEOs and celebrities have the opportunity to express their views, no different than anyone else.

The fools tend to be those who CHOOSE to be influenced one way or another by CEO/ celebrity opinions and that includes all cable news entertainers.

They're celebrities. I've always viewed them as this and this hasn't ever changed. I'll just note: I'm not offended by opinions that are not my own. If an opinion is idiotic, I just ignore it. I encourage others to do the same.

Without looking at her I said no. That's all, just no. She got very upset because she felt special and I wasn't even acknowledging her presence.

The only person of class in that profession is Rosanna Arquette.
Cute story.

I suggest you immediately cease watching any tv, film, listening to radio, zip. Nothing. Because I don't want to hear your incessant complaining.

I never looked at them as anything special to begin with and find the fascination of the right with the fact that celebrities are predominantly liberal to be odd. Everyone already knew this I thought.

they live in a bubble. Sort of reminds me of certain celebs like Tom Cruise babbling about Scientology. If people aren't in their club, everyone outside evil.

I separate the actor from their political views if I enjoy their acting, like Leo DiCaprio. I took my dad to see The Revenant, which was his first time going to the theater in almost a decade (!), and he went on and on about how much of a hypocrite Leo is on environmental issues--and I don't disagree. But lately, I haven't tuned in to the anti-Trump vomit fest the award shows have become, nor do I go to the movies much. It won't hurt their bank accounts by any means, but at least I save money and some time

I have a decent amount of personal contact with celebrities. Some are very down to earth. Others are self absorbed douches. Some are morons, and some are very insightful. The thing that they all have in common is that they work in the arts, so of course you are going to see more liberals than conservatives.

But I have never held their opinions in any more esteem than the average person. The only difference between them and the guy on the street is that celebrities have a soap box.
