If so, when? Why? And what party did you change to?

I did.

Dropped my registration with the Democrat party and went non-affiliated (as it's called here in NC). i.e. Independent.

Did so in 2016.

Did it because the Democrat party has become the party of idiots, bigots, the intolerant, race hucksters, and they forced through the nomination of a common criminal for President via rigging the rules and outright cheating.

I changed from GOP to Independent when I woke up and smelled the roses that if you are NOT making $150,000 a year minimum, it doesn't make sense at all to vote GOP

No, never belonged to a Party, never will. Parties are for the Sheep that cannot simply be an American that votes in the best interests of the Nation.

I changed from Republican to Democrat during the primary season in sheer disgust of the Trumpkin, and understanding that New England Republicans, while the most sane Republicans in this country, have the unfortunate affiliation with the other Republicans who tote the Trump banner. I will remain a Democrat for the time being, Trump has done wonders to cement my new place in this party.

Changed to Independent in 2016. Can't stand the people either party endorses.

Not really. I didn't vote. Hated Hil, hated Trump. I just resigned myself to Hil getting in and taking a stand when they come to confiscate the guns. But after seeing how things turned out and the dems working overtime to destroy our country I would make it a point to vote for Trump.

I have been a Democrat for over 50 years. I watched the party change from Kennedy through Johnson's War fetish to be taken over by the Clintons. They, by placing investors ahead of American workers with NAFTA and such like, took my party away from me. They tried to reinforce their priorities the last election and many Democrats revolted by supporting Bernie Sanders in the primaries and staying home in the election. We lost to the flim-flam man and the country will suffer the consequences. That loss has pretty much eliminated the Clintonista influence in the party and given us the chance to be the party of working America and not Republican lite.

All we have to do is seize that chance and make a real difference in 2018 and beyond.
