its never a good idea to talk about politics at work. just my opinion

I live by NYC...land of Hillary lovers here. I'm not afraid to admit I voted for Trump. I'll openly admit Trump is a bit nutso but I rather have him than Hillary a 1000x over. I also voted for Obama and Bloomberg for NYC mayor who was a Republican at the time.

At the risk of reminding you all of the past 8 years...

Nah... nevermind.

Politics in general is extremely controversial and easily starts arguments. Considering the election season is when people are most focused on it, it therefore makes them more defensive of their political beliefs.

Especially this year, with both major candidates being extremely controversial and disliked, the season is especially fiery.

Well, I pretty much have zero social life right now because I work on average 11 hours a day, at least five days a week. I only see my fiance once a week. I manage my family retail stores and I don't mind work hard. I will be completely financially comfortable in 3 years and I will travel all over the world with my loved one.
City-data is my only entertainment and for the most part, I love the posters here. Although I don't agree with a lot of people here, it is silly to take it so personally.

At the end of the day, most people here are just average people with no real power. It is truly sad to put 100% confidence in one politician. The way I see it? Well, if Mr. Trump can stay away from useless wars, and keep SOME of his promises, I would view him as a great American president.

For myself, well life goes on. I don't take what others say on the internet personally. It is just not worth it.

Some dem family members still resent my vote for our President Donald Trump, but I don't care, it's their problem. They are slowly coming to terms and accepting our President.

One wonderful thing Trump supporters seem to know each other.

Yesterday, I made friends with two Trump supporters at the shooting range.

They're called the voting booth, Electoral College and the Constitution.

I don't know where the OP is from, but where I live no one gets that insane over politics. We all pretty much understand that it's all rhetoric and show. Besides who wants to associate with anyone that is that delusional that they spaz about who you voted for?
