I agree. Isn't he also the Executive Producer of the show? I remember reading that he would not give up that position. So he's basically asking Americans to pray that his show is successful.
Even if he meant it as a joke, that wasn't the time or the place. I wonder how many excuses these supporters are going to make for him. Maybe that statement Trump made about shooting someone in the middle of NYC was true.
Oh dear God, I hadn't even thought of that, but you've connected the dots for me. This is yet another example of Trump using the platform of the Oval Office to promote something in which he has a private vested interest. Everything this man does can and likely should be viewed through the lens of self-promotion. And that's even more disgusting than bragging about his ***** size. On second thought, maybe it's just all the same thing.
Okay, everyone. Forgetting the bad taste he showed, isn't this a conflict of interest? He is the Executive Producer of the show. He is using his office to draw attention to it.
Honestly, I am not trying to be argumentative, but if Trump encouraged people, jokingly or not, to play golf at one of his resorts, it's wrong. Impeachable? No. Because he was careful to ask "Americans" to pray.
Anyway, maybe he'll have Arnold deported. Yes, I know he is an American citizen, but he kept his Austrian citizenship (Austria made an exception for him) So he has dual citizenship. Maybe Trump will ask the Supreme Court, once it's controlled by the far right, to revoke dual citizenship, since you really can only be loyal to one country. I mean, why not? He wants to send troops into Chicago and Mexico, yells at the Australian PM, calls being a friend of Putin an asset and signs an order to handcuff 5 year old boys at airports. The man is unstable.
Did our president really just ask attendees to pray for improved ratings for The Apprentice during his appearance at the National Prayer Breakfast? I've watched the clip several times now, and I still can't wrap my head around it. Truly a head-smacking moment.
Yes, yes he did. And his cult worshippers love it. The man is mentally ill, and his supporters appear to be worse for lapping it up. This is what being a narcissist looks like.

.
He already has an endless list of conflicts of interest, and is violating the Constitution daily. In case you haven't noticed, his supporters and Republicans don't care. They only hate conflicts of interest if it's a Democrat doing it. Republicans are allowed to have them.
When you make a joke, and then have to tell people you made a joke it comes off as pretty lame and the opposite of clever.
In a nutshell, whenever we hear Trump we should now assume it's a joke unless told otherwise?
Makes sense. I mean when he tweets or says "ban" we should assume he's really not talking about a ban. He said that Obama was not an American and had concrete proof discovered by investigators, and then 8 years later announced it wasn't true, so it might take a long time before we find out what he really means when he says anything.
