Few things should happen in regards to mental health reform I feel:
.) Universal mental health care coverage.
.) Increase in goverment assistance program's to assist in making medications affordable.
.) Busting up pharmaceutical monopolies and tearing down pharmaceutical patents.
.) Legalizing marijuana and adding an excess tax on it to help fund mental health services.
.) Create a Federal department of Mental Health and Substance services.
.) Less red tape with psychiatric medications.
.) Release Federal money to States to improve mental health care.
.) Improve VA care.
.) Create an initiative towards ending homeless by building temporary homes or converting empty buildings to shelters. Create goverment work programs to assist in training individuals who are homeless and create voucher/stipend via shelter/food.
.) More rehabilitation less prison time for substance users. Safe zones for substance users to get high.
.) Universal Medicare for those 65 and older.
That's what I am hoping happens with mental health I'm the US.
