Russia has way more experience with collapsing than the US does.

Plus they embrace slavery.

Don't kid yourself. China will have a BOOM when our economy goes south (long term of course). They have a ton of savings ready for domestic consumption of their own goods and a quickly appreciating currency.

Exclamation Russia.....

I lived in Russia for a number of years and saw absolutely no evidence of them being prepared for any kind of collapse....
What I did see was an almost casual disregard for any sort of communal development...But...considering that this was a fake 'mentality' ...the completely misguided and mindless "soviet man" attitude and community forced on people....it was just perhaps a natural reaction.
What I saw was people looking out for themselves....[like people anywhere].
The world beyond your apartment doors was not of concern...
The Soviet State created the most monstrous economically socially and environmentally destructive disaster the world has ever known...
People didn't care about their jobs...because they were guaranteed the position and the pay....so who cares? The government had billions of rubles for sophisticated military equipment....but not enough shoes or toilet paper or tooth brushes or food...or housing.....Endless BILLIONS of rubles were spent on horrid stupid and ugly satanic monuments to communist dupes...socialist freaks....idiots and mass murders.....BILLIONS!!!
When the fall came, that the average person was NOT prepared for.... the Politburo types...high ranking military and government officials traded in their uniforms and party affiliations [at least on the surface] for expensive Italian pin-stripes and vogue shoes and 'went into business'....with all sorts of state 'capital' and cash that they had 'acquired' from years of 'work' in the public sector so to speak...They continue to live the good life in secret cities all throughout Russia...or in New York...London...Paris...Miami.....Los Angeles....Atherton....where ever....The average Russian struggled to make it....Walked away from jobs that no longer paid....stripped copper wiring from old buildings....sold used cars.....sold used clothes...black market cigarettes....nasty home-made rot-gut booze.....sold drugs...
or weapons.....or young girls.....or cheap artificially colored soda pop on street corners.....Definitely NOT the "Utopian" dream of some fuzzy haired Berkeley Prof....
Russia...the average person.... of course was left holding the bag yet again.....and neat things like TYPHOID FEVER began to crop up yet AGAIN!!! ...And the water....has NEVER been drinkable....so Russia sure as heck was NOT prepared for that...never has been....Boiling the tap water is a fact of life for the whole country basically...No hot water AT ALL in the Summer months...like it or not....No....Russia has not been prepared for anything really in its history...regardless of what all the slimy revisionist "historians" in the West think....

The only thing that saved Russia was a huge bail out by Uncle sam. Tax free, duty free, gift. No pay back required. We will even pay you to destroy your outdated nonfunctioning weapons.

You're right.

We stopped embracing slavery 150 years ago. For them, it's been only 20 years.

My cousin married a man who resided in Volgograd. His recollections are almost the same as these.

This is a really great post.
