I'm not sure how to answer. I'm libertarian/anarchist and live in a very liberal city. I like living in urban areas due to the variety of restaurants, music, walkable areas, etc. which tend to be liberal, but I'd prefer if there were more people with my views.
I don't really care. I can enjoy the company of most anyone. I'm socially liberal to be sure, but hold some traditionally conservative views as well.
I have lived all over this nation and traveled extensively outside it.
I have lived in poor neighborhoods with predominantly non-white folk, I have lived and worked on tribal land, I lived in several apartments in Chicago, one in a Jewish area, then "Little Korea" then in an old brownstone where most of the occupants were Muslim Somali refugee families. I've spent a lot of years in Texas, Oklahoma, SW Virginia, but also lived in Portland, Oregon. Right now I'm in Florida's panhandle.
People have more in commom than most think. I find it easy to come to common ground, learn something from someone with a different ideology or cultural background. Most popular aren't fanatics. Whatever their beliefs or heritage, most people are knd, fairly reasonable, and are just trying to get by.
I kind of follow Vaclav Havel's advice: "Keep company with those who seek the truth. Flee from those who have found it."
I don't know. Rather live in a State that had Universal Healthcare, tax paid community college, sales tax, no property, no income tax, legalized marijuana, excess tax on cigarettes/alcohol/marijuana, no gas tax, and tolls.
Very little laws by the State saying how people should live their lives. State supporter of 2nd Ammendment. Legalized fireworks.
No taxes on packaged foods, soda, restaurant food, or food at the grocery store.
State refund programs where if part of a community garden receive money back from the State.
Exercise and Gym refund by the State.
Refund to farmer's by the State.
Tax break to employer's that have tuition reimbursement plans for their employees.
Tax credit to companies that have a positive impact on the environment.
Natural gas, solar, geothermal energy, compost, and wind energy sources.
Electrical and hydrogen fueling Stations. Ton of biking and running paths.
Location: Sitting on a bar stool. Guinness in hand.

In real life.
I prefer to live in places with people like hometown (like I grew up with) on the south shore of Ma. That is.......a place where people for the most part keep S*** to themselves (whether it be religion, politics, etc.) and don't like to engage in bulls**** small talk with strangers.

I grew up in a conservative area and now live in a liberal one. I can get along with people on both sides of the spectrum (better than many people I know). I really love where I'm living now, but the fact that it is a more liberal area only figures into that love a little bit.
I've lived in liberal areas all my life. Overwhelmingly liberal.
I would never let politics stop me from living where I want.
