Expecting medical science to keep you breathing and someone else to pay for it is just downright selfish but that sadly is another thing that is all to prevalent in humans.
Well, then, what is medical science doing attempting to cure cancer or find treatments for ailments which are curable and/or treatable? We're all just going to die anyway, why bother treating anything?

And if you ever have a kid who ends up with cancer or some other disease that is curable, but that cure is out of reach because you can't afford the treatment, I'm sure you will be just fine hearing, ah, well, tough luck for your kid, but hey, he was going to die anyway, right?

This, my friends, is the GOP's idea for the "replacement" piece of their repeal and replace policy. God help us all.

Do you have your own private fire department or do taxes of the many pay for it? After all...houses burn...such is life.

Houses don't inherently burn.

No thanks.
Single Payer involves the government acting like the billing department in all insurance companies today. No one is telling you what to do with your body. The government isn't buying out hospitals and controlling them. It all has to do with the fact that adminstrative costs and profits in the insurance industry is put before everyone else's health. If anything, you automatically gain access to any hospital you'd like and are always 100% insured through taxation. Somehow that to you is telling you what to do with your body?

This is the problem with the free market, only looks for profits, can care less about people's health.

This is why it's so hilarious to see the Conservatives rail against the ACA. It is a Conservative idea that they created precisely because they wanted the free market profits to keep rolling.

And it's also why they cannot come up with anything to replace the ACA. It was their idea in order to keep healthcare within the realm of capitalism. Now that they've declared their own idea no longer feasible because that dastardly President Obama agreed with them, their only alternative to that is socialism in the form of single-payer.

It's a quandary they created for themselves and now they are stuck in it. It doesn't get any funnier than that.

Bernie has real ideas and real solutions. Now watch and see what Cruz will offer. Nothing more than a filibuster.
How will he convince a poor white trash Trump voter that unaffordable health care is his only option?

The Dumbing Down of America, that's how.

I don't know, Danny, it might not work this time, because it is going to involve taking healthcare away from people who were finally able to obtain it, some after being uncovered for many years. Ted Cruz, in his earliest attempts to keep the ACA from being enacted, knew this to be true when he said if the law goes into effect, you will never be able to take it away.

This, I believe, even the GOP knows to be true. Which is why they are so paralyzed when it comes to this issue. They know even the stupidest Trump supporters are going to balk when their healthcare is taken away from them.

Good point.

You can always do a Cost-Benefit Analysis.

How much money are you willing to spend on one person?

Paul Ryan used as an argument against the ACA that it would make the American people less desperate and feared the consequences when workers were no longer chained as a slave to their work because of health insurance. Workers are supposed to be living in constant fear! Thats good!

These sociopathic views are sadly all too common.
