This is a site FULL of non-black people generalizing black people....yet not a word....unless the comments blemish their own.

Black people please stop seeking validation from white people. Just stop.
I've got into serious discussions with my father and told him I don't wanna hear any race bashing against black people.

I'm not the only white person doing this. Please, you're just as bad as the white rednecks making generalizations. None of this helps in the long run.

I suppose you probably won't hear this or give a crap really, Got that tape playing in your head and won't hear otherwise.

Black Americans (collectively) will prosper when we stop chasing white approval.

I grew up around a lot of black people, and trust me, none of them gave a rip about white approval, far from it.

Is there anti-black racism? Yes.

Is it a real problem? Not really.

People believe that anyone should be able to go anywhere in the country, and that everyone they meet should be friendly towards them.

The truth is, I try to avoid nearly half of my city, because I either do not feel welcome there, or I feel unsafe there, or I just feel uncomfortable there.

Is a large part of that because of racism? Yes. But I don't really care.

The difference seems to be this...

White people don't want to live in the areas where people don't treat them well. They don't care if black people are racist against them, because they don't want anything from them. They don't need them.

I think most of us can think of so many similar examples as the ones articulated in this article. And this same stuff happens in progressive California. Maybe to a lesser degree than in other parts of the US, but I am not immune. There are a lot of stores I boycott because I have been followed around or ignored by sales people.
Blacks all over the place don't suffer a stitch. Some of the most wealthy people in America are??

The family in the article have made choices. Mostly good ones. But if you take the mother of the family she has an attitude not unlike many Republican white men reared in homes by educated parents that are also very financially secure. In both cases they assume they worked so remarkably hard.

Right of wrong they seek complete validation from whites in their social class in recognition of their hard work and positions in life. Mostly they may receive it but on occasions they either might not or suspect they are not. But this is a cost of their choices too. And it is the America that exists whether they want it or not. They could live around other black people in a mostly black neighborhood of Dallas. But there must be a reason they do not?

So, either choice they make will come with a price.

I think the choice they made in neighborhood and school for their kids was the better decision. And it won't be without its frustrations but it comes with a lower personal cost to pay than living in and raising your children in a more problematic neighborhood.

This is really an article made by liberal journalist to appeal to the elitist snobbery prevelant among Hillary Democrats. It's not an article aimed at Bernie Democrats. Trump Republicans won't be sympathetic to it but McCain Republicans will.

This..

EVERY town has its segregation areas. We have china town, we have "the hood", Latinos, rich "whities", druggies ally.. List can go on. We segregate our selfs and community base on race by nature. You cant tell me a white person would go find a house in the hood and be safe, same for a black man come to the rich white area and be safe. We all stick to our "kind" comfort zone. If i walk in a barber shop in a black community and say hey whats up my n.... i would get escorted out in a body bag, but if a black man does it.. its all "good" and we can do it the exact same way with same meaning, and i be consider a racist. Now i know racism still goes on, but it goes on in every race we have on our planet. Most of the time its not by color but by your religion, faith that you get hit with racism. It is our nature to hate something that is different than what we are brought to hate. When you get the media and publications that teaches this rather incidental or not, it fuels the fire. Take a look at the music scene. Got rappers using the n word in every other word, with hood slangs and they write it "like they lived it". If you go down south, they tell you to stay in doors after 6, because the gang wars fight to be on TV news. Whom gang ever gets recognized at the first few mins on the news wins contest. We all do it, we can all preach on not to do it ,but when you have your own race putting your own race down daily, than whats the point of preaching about it?

Don't chase it and turn Detroit, the largest black city in the country, and all of black Chicago into the envy of all the world.

But that's not going to happen. It's more preferable for black people to worry and complain what white people think of them by pointing their fingers at the lower-income blacks and saying, "I'm not like them."

I live like a f---ing pimp in Milwaukee. All those homeless whites let alone blacks living homeless on Skid Row in LA would be jealous of me. And I have a stronger family support structure than them. Too boot I likely have the blood of Constantine the Great running through my viens, as well as the blood of the great Mongolian Khan's and Genghis Khan himself. I am half white. I could easily look down my nose at all those dirty and tragic humans black and white on Skid Row. But I don't. It is the Democrats, the black people with two black parents that look down on them. Makes you all feel better.

One thing about having been enlisted like I was in the military, if an enlisted ever becomes a commissioned officer they get a lot of respect from enlisted men. Such officers are known as Mustangs. As a Mustang pulled over in my car I don't automatically think I rate special treatment DUE ONLY my rank, that my black enlisted men under me should suffer indignities but I don't.

So, a thing of perception. Democrats are analogous to white Europeans from aristocratic lines leading as officers with their powder wigs. They need masses of blacks to look down upon. If they are black Democrats in powder wigs they will seek white validation. They will want Detroit and black Chicago to remain f---ed up.

My thing is turn Detroit and black Chicago into the envy of the world. Raise the quality of life for blacks there so astronomically, so radically, that white people from Canada will be running their a$&es over here to PASS as black.

But of course, that is not going to happen.
