That's his choice, but he doesn't have to be a weiner about it.

Brady didn't visit the White House when Barrack was president and the Pats won the Superbowl, but he didn't make a big fuss over it.

Quote:
New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett won his first Super Bowl ring on Sunday. And as he promised earlier this past week, he’ll make good on not attending any championship celebration at the White House with new President Donald Trump.

The colorful Bennett (trust us and read here) first said Monday night that he didn’t plan to go. Bennett confirmed that after the Super Bowl victory in which he caught five passes for 62 yards and drew a key pass-interference call in the waning moments of overtime to help seal it.

“It is what it is. People know how I feel about it,” he said, via Dallas Morning-News. “Just follow me on Twitter.”

Sad to see how much racism is tolerated in the NFL. Makes me feel better about not watching this season.

He should go. He shouldn't act like a dumbass like right wing supporters did during Obama's term when they were scheduled for White House visits and decided not to show up.

There's like 90 people on the Patriots roster. He's just a number.

I'm fine with it....I might have skipped out in a similar situation when Obama was President but I would love to meet Trump.

Someone should tell these guys this is Trumps America and things have changed.

No time to hero worship and honor millionaires playing a child's game when you are making America great again!

i disagree, there were a lot of athletes that have not gone to the white house because of their political leanings in the past, and not just obamas white house either. every president has been snubbed by athletes in the past. in fact every president has been snubbed by a lot of people in the past, this is nothing new.

you cant force someone to go something they dont want to do. many years ago i worked at a summer resort, and president clinton visited the dining room for lunch one day. it so happened that there were a number of us employees sitting in the break room after finishing lunch, and a secret service agent poked her head into the room and said that we needed to be wanded if we wanted to meet the president, and we didnt want to meet the and we told her so. so she said ok we just had to either stay in the break room of leave the building. since i needed to get some sleep before i went to work that night, i ultimately left the building.

and part of the reason ws that i didnt want to be part of a dog and pony show.
